MicroAid makes web application software for small charities and community groups worldwide. We have over 30 clients in 7 countries. I have been involved in everything from office set up, internal processes, product development, staff training, online marketing and customer sales. MicroAid now runs independently with its own general manager employing 7 full time staff run from an office in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Agora Professional Services Ltd was a niche IT consultancy employing over 40 consultants, with a focus on healthcare and web technology. Two successful daughter companies were spun out over the six year business lifespan. Turnover £5 million.

Strategic planning for a new healthcare business through identification of the combining market potentials of healthcare and e-Business. Included identification of new opportunities arising from the PCG/PCTs and the development of core service offerings. (£20 million budget)

Led a team of three consultants to produce an Internet technology based diabetes disease management solution for a new Dutch venture.

May 1997 – Dec 1997 Client: Kingston General Practice
Created an Intranet for UK Physicians with over 1,000 registered doctors. Designed and built server infrastructure including planning for resilience, security, extensibility and remote access.

Design and implementation of a management reporting system that integrated micro-finance and socio-economic data on 250,000 small farmer groups. Wrote US $4 million IT plan for use over next five years.

Developed and internally marketed an automated test tool for CICS making developer time savings of an estimated £100,000.
